A new Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL) to support Australia’s economic recovery after covid-19, announced by The Australian Government
The list by strengthened labor market testing requirements would be also complemented applicants nominated in an occupation on the PMSOL list by employers and on the governments job active website they also need to advertise their vacancy. In addition to two national advertisements as current requirements.
17 different occupations included in the Priority Migration Skilled Occupation new list, allows filling urgent skills needs in a critical sector of a small number of sponsored skilled workers to return to Australia.
Priority will be given to those in occupations on the PMSOL and Existing skilled migration occupation lists will remain active and visas will still be processed. in a PMSOL occupation who have been sponsored by an Australia business, Offshore visa holders now can request an exemption from Australia’s travel restrictions. But on arrival strict 14 days quarantine at their own expense.
As per Alan Tudge – acting minister of immigration, Multicultural Affairs, Citizenship and Migrant Services, for Australian economic recovery changes would strike the right balance.
