What is the Partner Visa (820 & 801)?

This two-stage visa is for partners who are already in Australia:

Subclass 820 (Temporary Partner Visa): Grants you the right to stay, work, and access Medicare while awaiting permanent residency.

Subclass 801 (Permanent Partner Visa): Granted after a 2-year assessment period from your initial application if your relationship continues to meet all eligibility requirements.
