Victoria Skilled Migration Program

Victoria, a significant Australian state, is currently accepting applications from residents of Victoria and from other countries for the Skilled Migration Program. Victoria Skilled Migration Program provides a route to obtaining a Permanent Resident (PR) Visa. Australia, SMP provides a conduit for two important categories of skilled immigration i.e.

  • Visa for skilled workers (subclass 190)– Permanent Visa Nominated by the State
  •  Regional (Provisional) Skilled Work Visa (subclass 491) –  5 year provisional visas with a path to permanent residence

A Declaration of Interest must be submitted prior to applying (ROI). The State of Victoria will then choose all submitted ROIs based on merit and invite them to submit an application for visa nomination. Before applying, confirm that you qualify for the appropriate visa categories. By May 2023, the ROIs will have been evaluated. You can now submit a new ROI for the 2022–23 programme if your application was not chosen in the programme year 2021–2022.
