1. Provisional Partner visa (Subclass 309)
- Visa Type: Temporary visa
- Can be changed to Permanent Residency via the Subclass 100 visa
- Visa may be decided after a year of application.
- You are in a married or de facto relationship with your guarantor
- You are applying from outside Australia
- Your Australian guarantor must be either permanent resident or an Australian citizen.
2. Permanent Partner visa (Subclass 100)
- Visa Type: Permanent visa
- You can apply for this visa at least 2 years after your Subclass 309 temporary visa is decided.
- You having the Subclass 309 temporary visa.
- You are still in a relationship with your Australian Guarantor.
- You have lived with your spouse / partner for more than 2 years in Australia.

Family Visa
Parent visa applications lodged outside Australia
- If you have applied from outside Australia for a
- Parent (subclass 103) visa
- Contributory Parent (subclass 173) visa
- Contributory Parent (subclass 143) visa and
- You applied for the visa before March 2021 and
- You’re in Australia, on March 21.
- Your visa can be granted while you are in Australia if you encounter all other visa criteria during the COVID-19 concession period.
If you registered for this visa outside Australia and you meet the usual visa grant necessities you will be able to be granted the visa outside Australia (as per the current process).
Parent visa applications lodged in Australia
- If you have registered in Australia for a
- Aged Parent (subclass 804) visa
- Contributory Aged Parent (subclass 864) visa and
- you applied for the visa before March 21 and
- you were outside from Australia on March 21
Your visa can be granted while you are outside Australia if you meet all other visa criteria during the COVID-19 concession period.

The bridging visa subclass you may be eligible for depends on your conditions at the time your Guardian Parent or Parent visa application was made. If you lodged a paper application for a Guardian Parent or Parent visa at workplace outside Australia, you will not meet the criteria for the grant of a bridging visa in association with your visa application.
