New opportunities have been opened up for the overseas crowd wanting to migrate to Australia, with the big changes happening in Canberra From the year 2022-23 program year people residing overseas are will be now eligible to be considered for WA state nomination, new allocations are announced for the immigration program in the new year of 2022-23. WA government has launched a new nomination policy where the ranking system determines if you’re invited to apply for the nominations.
The following are given preference in the respective sequence, first residents of Western Australia, followed by residents of Australia, and finally the people living overseas. This 2022-23 program year will also provide the candidates with the more exclusive and expanded, graduation occupation list, under the graduation stream, with total 331 occupations being available after adding 195 new ones.
Here are the points for Australia nomination requirement for applicants in 2022-23:
- Candidate should have an occupation listed in the 331 occupations mentioned in the general occupation list (GOL).
- Candidate should have gained a certificate 3 or higher qualification in Australia, and also a requirement to have completed a 2 year full time study in Western Australia at a western Australian university.
- Work experience in western Australia
- The candidate must have at least 6 months of work experience in the nominated (or a related field) occupation over the last 5 years. OR
- A contract of full time employment in Western Australia for over 6 months in the nominated occupation
- English language requirements
- An English language level of ‘proficient’ must be obtained by candidates nominating an ANZSCO Major Occupation Group 1 (Managers) or Group 2 (Professionals) occupation; OR
- For all other eligible occupations an English language level of ‘competent’ must be obtained.
