The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Test is intended to measure the language skills of persons who intend to study or work in an English-speaking setting. While the difficulty level of each subject varies depending on the person, many test takers find the Writing portion to be one of the most difficult jobs in the IELTS Academic Test.

Test takers must complete two exercises in the Writing part. In Task 1, you must describe, summarise, or explain visual material such as charts, graphs, or diagrams in at least 150 words. Task 2 requires you to write an essay of at least 250 words on a certain topic. Both exercises are timed, and test takers must carefully manage their time to finish them within the time limit.

Writing an essay under a time limit while successfully addressing the subject, organizing thoughts, and preserving clarity and cohesiveness can be difficult for many test takers. They must also display a broad vocabulary, proper syntax and sentence structure, and precise spelling and punctuation.
