Will now be easier for 491/190 visas for WA graduates under the Graduate Stream. To study in Perth what is factor behind choice?
BIG thanks to all the students in Perth who took time to fill out these surveys. The report and the result of these surveys were all provided to the WA Premier Mark McGowan and his state government departments this year.
From December 2019,The WA state government for WA GRADUATES will make their state sponsor criteria now easier for 491/190 visas.
For the WA graduates Work experience and job offer requirements will also be reduced. Bachelors, Masters and diploma/certificate III will either be required to obtain a work contract of 6 months or provide evidence that in their selected occupation they have worked for 6 months.
That is a big achievement for diploma/Cert 3 graduates and bachelor degree graduates who just need a job offer and no more requirement of 12 months work from December 2019, for many of the graduates it is bit complicated. “Regional Australia Definition
Perth is included in, Written by The premier to the Federal Government of regional Australia".
It will have the following benefits if granted:
- They can fill skills shortages in Perth on that visa and A can then sponsor their graduates for this new 491 visa , not just country regions
- Of this new 491 visa, Perth residents can sponsor their skilled relatives for the family stream.
- After graduation Perth graduates can qualify for an extra THIRD year on their 485 visa.
- The obvious, this will be a massive incentive to study in Perth 5 more points for the very difficult points test in the 189, 190 and 491 categories.
